I replaced the laptop three times but i think all devices of this model is having the issue of sound cracking and screen bleeding but even replacing it three times i am having the same issue and after using it for 20 days it started lagging a lot, You can’t even use chrome or microsoft word during lag. But it happens only once a day.Pros:1.Full HD 1080p 60Hz display with wide viewing angles , great Color production and support HDR video playback2. Sound quality is awesome, clear and sorround sound (Waves Maxx audio pro)3. SSD makes it faster with boot time of less than 10 seconds4. AMD Ryzen 5 3500U and vega 8 graphics works like a charm5. Mint Color and metal like finish gives it a premium look6. Gaming on Medium settings ( Not recommend for heavy games)7. One 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD is already installed and have a extra free slot for another 2.5 inch SATA HDD/SSD for storage expansionCons:1. Heating issues: gets hot even while watching videos and browsing internet. Sometimes while using Chrome , temperature reaches about 90°C in winter season.2. SCREEN BLEEDING ISSUE on bottom corners(check photos)3. No fingerprint sensor and backlit keyboard ( already mentioned in specifications)4. Sound cracking issue always5. No Type C port6. Average battery backup ( 4-5hrs)7. Only 45W charger is given in the box which takes a long time to charge (about 3-4hrs)Upgrades needed:1. Better to increase the ram to 16GB using 2nd slot because out of 8 gb only 5.9gb is usable.

Ok before starting my review I only want to say this is a fine laptop only if you are super lucky otherwise it can turn your life into hell!I bought this on 16th October when there was not a single review I just bought on the trust upon Dell but man I made a mistake!Good :• Beautiful Screen, a WVA panel but almost similar to IPS and the antiglare is a treat to use• Good performance now it’s better than a i3 but not better than a i5 10th gen(G series) but almost similar performance to i5 8th gen• Excellent battery life in my case with 60% brightness and battery on better performance I got easily 5 hours during browsing and updating stuffs• Excellent build quality..the back plastic is of good quality, there’s no flex in the deck or panel and hinges are good too.• Great I/O condition and has plenty of ports although lack a type c cable but has rj45 which is essential to many I think• Nice Looks and specs for the price I mean 8 gb ram and 512 gb SSD from Dell in this price is quite a great dealBad :• Sound although it’s fine during music listening but it cracks during my team’s class or any kind of movies or podcast which is highly irritating. I updated all the driver and still no benefit• Though the screen is good but it has screen bleeding and not only me quite a lot of people’s are facing the issue and it’s pretty visible not like other cases where you can neglect that. Screen bleeding in my case was pretty horrible• Touchpad is the worse part of this laptop. It’s good and is of good dimensions with all standard gestures but can execute it’s main task properly ie the cursor. It freezes almost every hour and the cursor vanishes or just stops moving for a good 1-2 minutes in several instances I have to restart my pc cause it was taking more than 10 minutes• Heating issue is another concerning factor ,it heats up without any reason for the most basic stuffs like browsing and streaming movies and its a good 65-70 temperature if you are using it connected to power which obviously you will do. And I forgot to mention I was using on the desk in a proper ventilated place. It will be unbearable in beds.• The webcam is useless. My samsung metro has a far better camera than this. This thing is just worst, forget attending meetings via this one..I repeat You can’t.• The RJ45 is capped to 100 Mbps so if you have a faster connection than the mentioned it will be of no use!• The keypad was good but the travel was very less like it’s just 1 mm max!And the pattern was a little awkward too the up down key’s were too much cramped for no reasons. So if you think you can live with these issues then go ahead buy this. It will be a great deal if you get this in 40k price but I don’t think it justify it’s current price considering the shitty touchpad and bleeding issue.I seriously recommend to stay away from this model now it’s you choice!Buy any other dell with an Intel like I did after returning it and 5 Stars for Amazon for being so generous and arranging an refund for this.

I was looking to buy a laptop for my work. I am glad I bought this laptop. It has exceeded my expectations. This laptop comes with an AMD Ryzen5 3500u, 8GB DDR4 3200MHz ram(though Ryzen CPU supports only 2400MHz) and a Kioxia 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD. Kioxia is a reputed Japanese brand. Has a fairly decent speeds(check the images).Things that are not mentioned in the product description:1) It has an AC Dual band WiFi, i.e. it supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi.2) It has an 10/100Mbps ethernet port(1000Mbps would have been great).3) The system memory can be expanded upto 32GB (2*16GB modules).4)It has an empty SATA port with all the necessary screws with it. You can add an extra SSD or HDD.5)The display supports upto 3840×2160 resolution(you need to install the latest Radeon graphics driver and enable Virtual Super Resolution from the Radeon settings menu).6) The display supports HRD content playback.7) Out of the preinstalled 8GB memory, only 5.9GB is usable and that’s because 2.1GB is reserved for the integrated Radeon Vega 8 GPU.8)No numpad, the product image is misleading.9)No backlit keyboard.I have expanded the memory to 16GB and added an extra 240GB SATA SSD. Very easy to upgrade the ram and SSD. While opening the back panel keep in mind that the top hinge screws won’t come off fully and that it automatically lifts the back panel. While unscrewing the back/bottom panel, unscrew from the bottom side i.e. from below the touch pad side.Saw some people complain about the Office activation issue. They are false claims. My office is activated and works fine. Keep in mind, you need a Microsoft account for the office to activate, local accounts won’t work. This laptop works like a charm for me. I run multiple VM’s and it runs smoothly. I am very satisfied. An optional cooling pad is recommended as it gets pretty toasty while under load(fair enough as it is thin and light).
